The Justin Welsh Linkedin OS Course: Honest Review

Is it worth using the Justin Welsh Linkedin OS?

If you spend any time on Linkedin, it’s a matter of time before you run into Justin Welsh. He is, quite simply, everywhere on Linkedin and to an extent on Twitter.

Justin Welsh has become probably the biggest influencer on Linkedin, with each of his posts attracting thousands of likes and hundreds of comments. And of course he is also selling his own course about how to become more like Justin Welsh; the Linkedin OS.

But what exactly is the Justin Welsh Linkedin OS? And is it worth investing in if you’re serious about Linkedin?

Well, we’ve made the investment and this is our thoughts on the subject. Before we get started though, lets answer some basic question.

Who is Justin Welsh?

Justin Welsh is an American solopreneur who quit his corporate job to build his business online. His primary business is offering one to one business advice for high value business owners. However, he also manages a prolific Linkedin account and offers a variety of ways to help wannabe Linkedin influencers to boost their own engagement and success on the platform.

By his own accounts he has raised millions for various companies and now runs multiple 7 figure businesses from his base in the US.

So with those very enviable stats, it seems like the Linkedin OS is going to be a wise investment. Right?

What is the Linkedin OS?

The Linkedin OS means the operating system for Linkedin. It is basically Justin Welsh telling us exactly how he does thing and how he builds constant content and gets big engagement on the platform.

The course itself is 2 hours long and is presented as a selection of 2 to 10 minute videos with Justin explaining his methods to camera using a screen recording tool. He also gives users access to several spreadsheets and content matrixes which help his students maximise their use of the course.

He breaks down everything from how to identify your target audience, how to brainstorm content in a short amount of time and how to track your results; through to how to collect leads and generate engagement in your Linkedin posts.

In short, it is everything you need to know about how to become a Linkedin guru, just like Justin Welsh….

The Linkedin OS Review

As I mentioned the Linkedin OS is simply broken down and Justin keeps the information simple and bite sized. Because the videos are short it is easy to stay focused or to go back and re-do a module if you missed some crucial information.

The course also builds at a good pace. I didn’t find myself willing him to hurry up or thinking that some of the information was filler. Far from it in fact, the information was all very much essential to his OS and he related the info back to his spreadsheets (which you get free access to) regularly.

You are also prompted to go back and review your own information on the spreadsheets and to be hands on – so this isn’t an entirely passive course.

All in all, I felt like the Linkedin OS has helped me to build my understanding of how to create content for Linkedin. However I also feel like he gives you a slightly generic approach to Linkedin. Having done the course I do see several people using his methods- but they are clearly being quite successful from their results.

But having said that, you probably won’t see anyone claiming to have used it and failed. That’s just not sexy, right? To be honest though, it would be hard to fail with a strategy like this. He does keep it simple and well explained.

Who is the Linkedin OS for?

The Linkedin OS is clearly designed for Linkedin B2B lead generating – hence the name. So the obvious audience here is solopreneurs or small business owners looking to build their name on the platform. I’ve seen marketing agency owners who have clearly used his strategy and are obviously dealing with big clients.

But anyone who wants to build their Linkedin audience, and who stands to make a good income from these leads, will find value here.

The truth is though, Justin is giving you the tools to succeed. And if you do follow the course and put it into practice you very likely will see see some good results.

Is the Justin Welsh Linkedin OS worth it?

So is the Justin Welsh Linkedin OS worth your money? After all, it starts at around $150 – but is price adjusted depending on where you are in the world. For example, if you’re based in the USA then the course will set you back the full $150, but as I’m in the UK I ended up paying around $120.

I think if you are going to put these strategies into use and genuinely see the course though, then you will absolutely get back what you put in.

As the cost of the course is relatively high, you might not want to invest until you have some experience using Linkedin. But I do think that the Justin Welsh Linkedin OS is a wise investment for any small business owner…
